The grand building Strandvägen 7 was completed in 1911 as the crown jewel in the fashionable new street commissioned by King Oscar II himself.

The Malmström family, who own the hotel, have maintained a strong interest in art and design over many generations. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the hotel’s corridors, which are adorned with works by famous Swedish artists and photographers. The hotel, which hosts regular art exhibitions, is a great advocate of Swedish art and culture, and holds an extensive private collection. Art advisor and partner Lovisa Malmström has chosen and brought in the new art that adorns the walls of the hotel.
