LOEWE FOUNDATION CRAFT PRIZE 2024

LOEWE FOUNDATION announces the 30 artists shortlisted for the 2024 edition of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.
The finalists’ works will be exhibited at Palais de Tokyo in Paris from 15 May until 9 June 2024.

The LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize shortlist works will be exhibited at Palais de Tokyo in Paris from 15 May to 9 June 2024. Many repurpose found/recycled materials, focusing on elevating everyday items like rubber tyres and compressed wood. Artists from 124 countries submitted over 3,900 works, with 30 finalists chosen. They work across mediums such as ceramics, woodwork, textiles, etc. The Craft Prize, initiated in 2016 by LOEWE, celebrates modern craftsmanship's excellence and innovation, aiming to set new standards for the future. Previous exhibitions were held in Madrid, London, Tokyo, Paris, Seoul, and New York. Craft is essential to LOEWE's identity, according to Jonathan Anderson. Anatxu Zabalbeascoa, Executive Secretary of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize Expert Panel, highlights the importance of pushing craft's boundaries. A jury of 12 experts will award €50,000 to the winner on 14 May 2024, during the exhibition's opening.
